Before the activty:
l
Contact a psychologist who can give an introductory talk on self-esteem.
l Prepare materials for activities.
2.
At the previous meeting:
l
Let them know they should arrive on time, in uniform and should
be willing to participate.
3.
During the meeting:
l
Activity on animal partners. (See appendix)
l Devise word and/or phrase puzzles dealing with self-esteem and
friendship.
l Do a dance (if there is a problem with music, use as an appendix)
underlining the importance of team work.
l Activity to create similar groups using the colour of paper chosen.
(See appendix).
l Depending on the time, and level of confidence and maturity of
the group, do mimes to underline positive and
negative aspects of companions.
l Evaluation of the activity at general level, doing a brief, constructive
verbal critcism and filling in the
questionnaire.
l Present the invited speaker, then speech on self-esteem (30 minutes).
